Bend Fall Festival Harvest Bake-Off
October 3 & 4, 2026
Do you have an award-winning pie, bread or chili recipe? Enter the inaugural Bend Fall Festival Harvest Bake-Off and compete for ribbons, prizes and the title of Best in Show!
Entry limits: 20 pies, 20 breads and 15 chili entries. Advance registration is required.
Entry fee: $5 per entry.
Harvest Bake-Off Schedule
Saturday, October 3 — Pie Day 🥧
11:00–11:30 a.m. | Pie Check-In
Registered contestants check in and submit their pies after the festival opens. Entries will be numbered, photographed and arranged for judging and display.
11:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. | Pie Display + People’s Choice Voting
Festival guests can view the entries, read recipe names and baker stories, and vote for the People’s Choice: Best Display Award. People’s Choice voting is based on appearance, creativity and presentation only. No public tasting will take place.
12:00–1:15 p.m. | Live Pie Judging
Our judges will taste and score each pie based on appearance, crust, filling, flavor and overall impression.
1:30 p.m. | Pie Awards
Awards will be presented for 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place and People’s Choice: Best Display.
1:30–2:30 p.m. | Winner Display + Pie Pick-Up
Winning entries and awards will remain on display following the awards. Contestants may collect their entries and display materials by 2:30 p.m.
Sunday, October 4 — Bread + Chili Day 🍞🌶️
11:00–11:30 a.m. | Bread + Chili Check-In

11:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. | Entry Display + People’s Choice Voting

12:00–12:45 p.m. | Live Bread Judging
Judges will score breads based on appearance, texture, flavor, technique and overall impression.
12:45–1:30 p.m. | Live Chili Judging
Judges will score chili based on aroma, flavor, texture, creativity and overall impression.
1:45 p.m. | Bread + Chili Awards
Awards will be presented for 1st Place, 2nd Place and 3rd Place in both Bread and Chili, along with People’s Choice: Best Display and the overall Best in Show award.
1:45–2:30 p.m. | Winner Display + Entry Pick-Up
Winning entries and awards will remain on display following the awards. Contestants may collect their entries and display materials by 2:30 p.m.
